Moonrise Kingdom after Dinner

Sunday wasn’t over yet! After the game we made plans with Katie and Jill to grab dinner at Joey’s and then see the film Moonrise Kingdom. I love love LOVE Joey’s Bellini’s so I had to order one.

We arrived suuuuper early, so we grabbed a starter while we were waiting. Chicken lettuce wraps were called for.

These babies were amazing, in fact, Katie ended up ordering the shrimp version for dinner. When the other ladies arrived I wanted something lighter for dinner and was drawn to the Sashimi Ahi Tuna Salad.

OMG, this was so. good. It had greens, cabbage, avocado, peanuts, crispy noodles, wasabi dressing. So necessary! It was light, refreshing and not too big. I honestly love Joeys—though it is a chain restaurant I have never had bad service there and have always had a yummy and inventive meal. Jill also got the Tuna salad and loved it (we both ate every bite).

Andrew got the California Chicken burger. It was the first time I have ever seen him not finish his burger or fries! He said he was still full from lunch.

After dinner we saw the film Moonrise Kingdom. It was good, a typical Wes Anderson film, which is a little quirky and sometimes slow moving (in my opinion), but I really liked the two main children in the film. And it was pretty funny! I would recommend it. It was an excellent end to a busy Sunday and lifted the mood after the heartbreaking England loss!
